CSU’s Crops Testing Program assists Colorado sunflower producers in making informed hybrid seed selections by providing unbiased, reliable yield data from both oil and confection sunflower performance trials. Given Colorado’s variable climatic conditions, ongoing advancements in biotechnology, and rapid turnover of commercial hybrids driven by seed company mergers and new releases, objective performance information is increasingly critical for producers.
